PVC launches Big Give Christmas Challenge
Preston Vocational Centre (PVC), has been accepted as one of the beneficiaries of this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge, to enable the team to deliver a young people’s mental health project called ‘Building Blocks for Your Future’ throughout the school holidays in 2022. This will deliver new, exciting, creative vocational training opportunities for the people of Preston, and young people and their families especially.
This will enable the centre to support young people across the Lancashire area by providing the opportunity to venture out of isolation and socialise, gain construction skills, take part in craft activities with a focus on health and wellbeing, enhance communication skills, confidence building and employability support.
The Big Give Christmas Challenge is the UK's largest online match funding campaign. Charities that are signed up have the chance to double donations made to them. For example, an online donation of £100 is doubled to £200. One donation, twice the impact.
PVC must raise £7,500 in order to access the match funding they have secured. With your support, a potential £15,000 of additional income could be heading their way this Christmas.
There is a catch though, all donations must be made between midday on 30th November and midday on 7th December via this link.
Centre Manager at PVC, Martin Grayston, said:
“Please help us to deliver this amazing project and continue to provide a safe and welcoming environment for young people. Any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated and kindly accepted.”
