The Festival of Building Skills: Community Support Project - The Prince’s Trust & Soundskills
As part of the Festival of Building Skills, Preston Vocational Centre supported the Prince’s Trust Team while they helped to transform the Soundskills premises in Brookfield, Preston, to improve its accessibility.
Soundskills is a Creative Community Centre, which offers a variety of facilities, such as a music studio, maker space, kitchen area and outdoor space for the local community to use.
The Prince’s Trust team asked for PVC’s help to install a basic access ramp at the back of the community centre for wheelchair users.
Two members of the team and a student spent a morning installing a concrete ramp, which had to be specially blended into the existing ramp.
The Prince’s Trust and The Soundskills team are really pleased with the look of the new ramp and all the support they got from PVC.
