Preston Vocational Centre (PVC) was established on 2 February 2009 with the charitable aim of advancing the education of children, young people and adults, especially those living within the Preston area, in particular through provision of vocational training, supporting their personal development and equipping them for further education, training and employment.

In August 2013 we became part of the Community Gateway Association (CGA) Group, as a subsidiary of this Preston based Housing Association.  PVC became an integral part of the CGA employment and skills agenda; working with local schools, developing skills in the local area, engaging young people in learning and increasing employment prospects for learners.

Heritage day

  • Since our inception, we have seen over 6,000 learners come through our door, many of whom had disengaged from other types of education. Our schools provision continues to grow year on year.

  • We provide vocational training in Construction and other high quality support for young people and adults of Preston and further afield.

  • We help individuals progress into apprenticeships, employment or further education and take a positive step to achieving their potential.
