At Preston Vocational Centre we love seeing young people come through our door with little to no confidence and transforming into confident, thriving individuals after learning construction skills.

Supporting us is a fantastic opportunity to fulfil your corporate social responsibilities with a local charity making a big difference to life chances for young people in the area.

Why do we need your help?

We are a not for profit organisation, partly funded by schools income, grants and kind donations.  We have recently seen a massive reduction in grant funding and schools budgets have been squeezed.

 

How can you help?

We are offering a Patrons’ Package to local organisations with a social conscience who are interested in making a difference to the local community. There are 3 sponsorship packages available:

 

Silver Package at £500 per year

• Opportunity to visit our training centre to see for yourself, some of the great work we do with young people 
• Access to reduced cost DIY training for your staff
• Recognition of your support as a sponsor on our website www.prestonvocationalcentre.co.uk, Twitter page, PVC e-newsletter and in the media.

 

Gold Package at £2,000 per year

In addition to the Silver Package:

• Sponsorship and presentation of a student award at the annual PVC awards event held in July each year
• Tour the PVC Centre with your clients to demonstrate your commitment to the community
• Nominate PVC as your staff charity of the year and we’ll come along and deliver a short presentation to your team about how their fundraising activities can make a difference. 

 

Platinum Package at £5,000 per year

In addition to the Gold Package:

• Your signage displayed at the Centre, recognising you as a sponsor
• The Centre would host a team building session, where your team can try some of our trades out for themselves
• PVC staff will come and speak at your corporate events about the great work of the centre and how your support makes a big difference
• Access to special promotion packages for any PVC events
• We would be keen to engage with you as an employer, giving our young people an insight into the world of work, or perhaps even an apprenticeship opportunity with your organisation.

 

If you can’t help us out with a financial donation, we’d also really appreciate any donations of building materials for our learners to use as part of their studies.

Helping us financially 

If you would like to make a financial donation to PVC we'd love to hear from you. A financial donation allows us to buy new equipment, PPE and resources making sure our students have the best possible learning experience. Email us at info@prestonvocationalcentre.co.uk. 

 

Donating materials

A little goes a long way at PVC.

Warburtons recently donated crates of bread to us which meant we could provide breakfast for our students in the morning. 

Crown Paint also topped up our paint buckets with stock, which meant that our students were able to learn with great quality products. Donations of Brick, Block, Timber, Plaster, Paint and Paper are also greatly received.
