A hands-on day of heritage skills

The team from PVC had a great day at the end of August, taking part in a Heritage Skills Experience Day, where visitors could get hands-on with a range traditional craftsmanship. The day was organised by The Harris, Bullen Conservation and Conlon Construction.

Stonework experts from Bullen Conservation offered real stone repairs in progress and got visitors involved in working on 'dummy' pieces under the guidance of skilled heritage professionals.

PVC offered an experience for visitors to learn about dismantling and re-fixing a sash window, a chance to get hands-on experience and discover the meticulous process involved in window restoration. The team were also available for advice sessions on starting a career in heritage skills, particularly in the construction field.
