PVC Students Answer Call for Help

PVC received a request from Community Gateway (CGA) for a bespoke planter to be made for a young local family moving into a new property. CGA was renovating the property on Tomlinson Street, Preston, to enable the family’s young disabled child to live a better life. The request was for a planter that was wheelchair accessible, as the child was very interested in gardening.

Eager to help, PVC students got to work and created a fantastic wooden planter for the family. Completely wheelchair accessible, the planter was finished and ready for the family when they moved into their newly-renovated home.

Rob Wakefield, CGA chief executive, said, “The planter looks great and the students at PVC did a fantastic job. This is a great example of how PVC’s activities and CGA’s objectives are well aligned.”
